Unique Minds & Me – Calm, supportive 1:1  PA support for young people and young adults

Building confidence, independence & engagement

Unique Minds & Me (UMM) Support provides personalised 1:1 Personal Assistant support for young people and young adults, particularly those who are neurodiverse or may find everyday situations challenging.

Support is calm, flexible and built around the individual. Sessions focus on building confidence, encouraging independence and helping each person feel comfortable, understood and able to engage at their own pace.

Hello! I am aengus

I set up UMM Support PA to provide calm, consistent and supportive 1:1 help for young people who may find everyday situations challenging.

I have both professional experience working with young people, alongside a lived understanding of neurodiversity. This helps me approach each session with empathy, patience and flexibility.

I understand that building trust takes time, and I aim to create a safe, relaxed environment where young people feel comfortable being themselves.

My focus is always on the individual—supporting them to feel more confident, independent and engaged at their own pace.

Who I Support

I primarily support children over 8 years old and young people, and also work with older teenagers and young adults where appropriate.

This may include individuals who experience:

  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • Anxiety
  • Social or emotional challenges
  • Additional learning needs

Every person is different, and support is always tailored to the individual rather than a label.

My Approach

I focus on building trust first.

Some young people need time, space and a low-pressure environment before they feel comfortable. I work at their pace, adapting sessions to suit how they are feeling on the day.

My approach is:

  • Calm and patient
  • Flexible and responsive
  • Supportive without pressure
  • Focused on building confidence over time

My aim is to create a safe, consistent environment where young people can begin to feel more confident and engaged.

Trust & Reassurance

The young persons safety and wellbeing are my priority.

    • Enhanced DBS checked
    • Safeguarding trained
    • First aid trained
    • Experience supporting neurodiverse young people
    • fully insured as a self-employed support provider

I provide a reliable, consistent and professional service, with clear communication and a calm approach at all times.
